SGS Avalanche : Fall update

SGS Avalanche

Hello, and thank you for your interest in SGS Avalanche. A great deal of player feedback—some of it contradictory—has brought certain bugs and balance issues to our attention. It’s always extremely delicate to make changes to the game mechanics, but we’ve tried to implement a few improvements and various fixes.

Fixes (non-exhaustive list):

  • Several regions have been adjusted (notably access to mountainous areas via roads)
  • Adjustments have been made to certain units. In particular, the German Flak is now slightly stronger, and Axis air power is slightly weaker at the start of the campaign—especially the Italian air force. It is also grounded on turn 0, allowing the Allies to launch a direct air offensive early in the game.
  • The Axis AI should be a bit more determined to defend the Gustav Line, just as the Allied AI is to attack it.
  • The invasion “timer” wasn’t working properly. It should now count down steadily as intended, forcing the Allied player to advance at a steady pace (Grand Campaign)
  • Several maps and events have been corrected, particularly to provide accurate information regarding victory point gains and losses.
  • Landings should now proceed according to plan (notably the Anzio landing in the intermediate scenario).

Further corrections and improvements will be made in the future as feedback is received. Thank you for your support and patience.
