SGS Imjin War
Since our previous letter at the end of 2024, we have had an exciting and dense beginning of 2025. Last February, we released SGS Battle for Dien Bien Phu, the 6th game of the Battle Series, depicting the famous battle that ended the Indochina War in 1954. The team has been busy on other projects, as well as maintenance and update of our large collection of titles.

In the new games section, we have just released on May 23 our latest grand strategy title, SGS Imjin War. This game takes you to Korea in the last years of the 16th century, where Japanese samurai armies invade the peninsula on their way to China and a long and bloody conflict ensues. The game has its own custom look and flavor, with many events and new rules, making it a new grand Asian adventure like its famous predecessor, SGS Taipings.

On June 12, the long-awaited SGS Spain at War will be available. This is a huge undertaking by fellow developer and designer Miguel Santacruz (Headquarter Games in Madrid) covering the whole of the Spanish Civil War at battalion level and a weekly time scale. The deepest and most thorough game on that conflict, a tense strategic challenge.
New titles will come in the second half of the year, and more details will be given in our next newsletter (some will be quite original titles on surprising subjects). Among them, SGS Avalanche, by designer Vincent Bernard (Overlord, Avalanche, Ft Donelson) will tackle the 1943-1945 Italian Campaign of WW2.

But we also keep on working on game updates. End of April we made an update and adaptation of one of our best sellers, SGS Afrika Korps, to the 1.5 version of the engine, giving it an improved playing experience and comfort. Following this, the 81st anniversary of the D-Day landing will see SGS Overlord receive a similar update and improvement, with not only the 1.5 version portage, but also games improvement and a new scenario of the Falaise pocket.

Our designer Aetius is also working on a major improvement of SGS Nato's Nightmare. It is so big and so important that it could be considered as a 2.0 version of the game, a new game by itself (bigger and larger map, more nations, more gameplay content and features). Our customers will get this major monster move for free. And following it, other updates by Aetius on other games like SGS Fall Weiss or SGS Battle for Hue are in the line.

Websites : in the second half of 2025, we will also strive to boost our communication and will attempt to organize regular news content. We have already brought constant improvements to our blog system on our websites, and we shall probably setup some kind of Frontline Report system together with Avalon Digital to bring more information to the forefront.
